Facial Palsy / Bell’s Palsy
Facial palsy, commonly known as Bell’s Palsy, is a condition where there is sudden weakness or paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face. It usually occurs due to inflammation or viral infection affecting the facial nerve. Patients may experience drooping of the mouth or eyelid, difficulty in smiling, blinking, or speaking clearly. Physiotherapy plays a vital role in recovery by stimulating facial muscles, preventing stiffness, and retraining proper movements. With the right exercises and regular guidance, most patients regain their facial strength, expressions, and confidence over time.
